Happy Halloween!

We had a bunch of fun things planned the days before Halloween this year so the kids have had a lot of fun...
The monkeys with the pumpkins they let daddy carve for them...
Ethan and Rylie trick or treating...doesn't Rylie look happy?
They had to get a good wrestle in before the trick-or-treating began...nothing like embarrassing grandma and grandpa...
We went and visited my parents and went around their neighborhood for awhile. Rylie is a skunk and Ethan is Spiderman (he hated wearing the mask).

Our neighborhood has a Halloween parade on Halloween afternoon. The kids loved it! It was lead by a Roy city fire truck and they ended up at the park by our house for cookies and milk.

Rylie eating pumpkin...sometimes my kids really gross me out...

My grandma's birthday was on Thursday. We went over to celebrate on Friday night. Happy Birthday Grandma!
On Thursday night my friend, Marge, threw a party for some friends and all the kiddos...of course I forgot to take pics until it was over. Here are the kids arguing over who gets to vacuum up the popcorn next...

On Wednesday night we went to our ward party. They fed us dinner and then had a Halloween carnival for the kids. It was a lot of fun. This was the first night the kids got to dress up this week so they were excited. Rylie was a fairy and Ethan was Spiderman...

This is for you dad!

My dad said that he was sick of seeing the circus pictures when he pulled up our blog so here is some new stuff, boring but at least new...
So it has been another crazy couple of weeks...not quite sure what we have been up to but we never seem to have a lot of free time. I'm now 30 weeks pregnant and am ready to pop this kid out. I have constant heartburn and the baby does flips all day long...good times. Coulter and I can't seem to really agree on any names so who knows what will happen...
Ethan's school had a walk-a-thon a couple of weeks ago. Ethan was not quite sure of the point to it all but went along with it...that was until he found out that the walk-a-thon was during recess and that he wouldn't get to play afterwards...now he is anti-fundraisers at school.

The first half of soccer is over! Coulter and I shouldn't be excited about that but we kind of are. I don't think soccer is Ethan's calling in life...he really just wants to play around and then have a treat. Maybe next spring will be better...
Ethan and Rylie's friends, Shaylee and Averi, came over last week to paint pumpkins and decorate cookies. All the kids were sugared up when they left...

Rylie actually smiling in a picture (probably because she is eating candy)

Tonight we went to the pumpkin walk in West Haven. It was pretty low key but that meant that there weren't a lot of people there...it was nice.

Circus...

We went to the circus last week...good times. The kids have never been and Coulter and I haven't been since we were kids. It was fun watching the kids enjoy the show. Rylie's favorite part were all the "pretty ladies." She makes us laugh....She kept talking about how pretty their outfits were. Ethan's favorite part was the million dollar bag of cotton candy of course (it's ridiculous how much they charge for stuff at the circus but I promised him...).

Rylie was checking this clown's pockets for stuff...it was funny.

Soccer...

Ethan started soccer a couple weeks ago. He has never played before so we didn't know how it was going to go. I was worried that he would just want to look for bugs the whole time...The coach went over the basics and he went for it. It was pretty entertaining watching the boys...Only a few know what they are doing and they don't play positions at all. There is just a big mass of boys that runs up and down the field...good times

Labor Day...

Coulter took the kids hiking with his family on Labor Day morning. I worked the night before so I gave everyone a kiss goodbye and crawled into bed...They went hiking in Adam's canyon up to the waterfalls. Ethan and Rylie talked about it all day when they got home. They all seemed to have a good time. Coulter said that when Ethan was walking back down from the waterfalls he told Grandma Joelle that he was going to need to take a nap that day:). Both kids crawled into bed and took good naps when they got home...
I wasn't even there so I have no idea why she is crying but I thought it was funny (it always is when you aren't the one experiencing it).

First day of kindergarten and preschool...

Ethan started kindergarten last Monday and he loves it. I'm surprised that he is smiling in this picture because it was taken right before he went the first day. Ethan was not very excited about the whole "kindergarten" thing. He was worried that they were going to try to teach him something and that was not something he was interested in...He was happy when I picked him up after the first day and he hasn't fought us to go since...
This is Ethan's "why don't you love me mom and dad?" face. I almost cried when I left him the first day because he looked at me like I was betraying him...
Rylie's first day of preschool was today. Rylie was so excited about going and apparently she was good the first day:). I got to enjoy my first 2 hours of freedom! I didn't know what to do with myself...I'm going to live it up twice a week for the next four months til the baby comes...

Ultrasound...

So we had the ultrasound today...after the appointment I headed over to Kohls to tell my mom the good news. While I was there I had a pity party (just a small one) for myself knowing that I couldn't buy these... But I settled for these instead...I'm excited I promise...girl clothes are just more fun...

Yellowstone...

On Thursday we headed up to Island Park, ID (just outside of West Yellowstone) with my family. Every year my parents go with family friends and the past 2 years we have come along as well...It was good to see everyone and go to Yellowstone. It was so cold this year and it rained a few times. We still had a good time but it was nice to come home and sleep in our nice warm beds...

The Lloyds and Creagers...don't Matthew and Ethan look so happy?

Rylie with her new BFF's, Kiersten and Kelsey. Rylie followed them around the whole weekend. I can't believe I used to babysit these girls...

Kelsey made Rylie a "pretty crown" and taught her a bunch of new phrases...some appreciated some not so appreciated...

Poor Rylie...
We didn't see very many animals this year like the year before. This was the only animal the kids got to see close up. Aunt Kaitlin let Ethan and Rylie know that it was a moose...she was later corrected...
Meet our new pet: Fluffy. Daddy caught this for Ethan the last day we were up there. Ethan was ecstatic as you could imagine and he is still alive!

Bowling...

I took the kids bowling with my friend Janelle and her kids last week. Ethan and Rylie have never been but they had a lot of fun. For the most part Ethan, Rylie and Shaylee just did their own thing while we watched. It was nice...

Ethan thought the ball return was pretty much the coolest thing ever...

Rylie ended up winning...
