Thanksgiving...

I know that I have already changed the blog to Christmas stuff (I love Christmas) but I am excited for Thanksgiving too...I just wanted to share some things that I am grateful for...

  • My Coulter-the best guy ever and truly my best friend. I love him! He deserves a prize for putting up with me some days...
  • Ethan and Rylie-I love them more I can describe...at times they are overwhelming and you name it, they have done it but they are the best. They bring so much joy to Coulter and I...
  • My parents-I don't know how I got the best parents (probably because Heavenly Father knew I would need them) but I did. They are such examples to me and have ALWAYS been there for me and my little family.
  • My siblings-it is so nice to have siblings that are your best friends...they are so fun and make laugh all the time. They are also loving and willing to do anything to help.
  • Coulter's family-I am so glad that I am getting to know them and for the love they have shown to Ethan, Rylie and me...
  • The Gospel-I am so blessed to know the truth and have it in my life. It has and does bring a peace to me. I could go on and on about this. I am grateful for temples, scriptures, my ward, a living prophet and apostles on the earth...
  • The Power of the Priesthood
  • Great Friends-you know who you are, thanks for always being there for me...
  • Our house-We finally have a house! But seriously, it is nice to have a place to raise our family and we love it.

  • My Grandma-I love that she lives so close now and that Ethan and Rylie get to see their Great Grandma...
  • A good job (and Coulter's good job)
  • Education (and knowing Coulter will be done with his soon...)
  • Our country and all the freedoms that we enjoy...

The list could go on and on...I am truly blessed...

More sugar for the kids...

So the other night we made caramel apples with the kids...

Ethan helped us unwrap all of the caramels...

Rylie passed out on the couch before we even started. Sundays are always hard on her...
Ethan always loves to help in the kitchen...

Daddy ran the show...he likes to be in charge...

I finally got Rylie to wake up and join us...

Coulter would like a new spatula for Christmas. He killed the one he used to melt caramels. I guess that's what happens when I let him be in charge:). (Love you Coulter)

Disney on Ice...

So we went to Disney on Ice last night and had a good time. We have never been before so we were excited to let the kids see it. We didn't tell them where we were going so it was a surprise. You should have seen their faces when the show started, they were beyond excited. The show was pretty good and kept the kids entertained for 2 hours. Ethan and Rylie were both sad when it ended.

Go Pocahontas! I have to say that they didn't give her as much time on the ice as she deserves but it was still good to see her and Johnny boy. (I told Coulter to drop the attitude about Pocahontas because we had her to thank for Thanksgiving...he doesn't agree) The movies that they actually tried to tell the stories were Beauty and the Beast, Mulan and Pinnochio. Ethan, Rylie and I are big fans of Beauty and the Beast and Mulan so we were happy. Coulter was super impressed with my singing of all the songs from these 2 movies...

Rylie sat quietly during the entire show. She couldn't take her eyes off of the characters...

Ethan was impressed as well...

Momma and Ethan on the way down to the show...

Rylie and Daddy on the way home. Both kids were really tired and sugared up (bad combination).

What is a little bite on the buttocks among friends?

So we went and saw Madagascar 2 on Friday...It was good, we recommend it. It was funny so Coulter and I didn't get bored and the kids loved it. So go see it...

I love this time of year...

I love the seasons in Utah, especially fall. I wish that it lasted longer before it turns so cold...It is so pretty outside with the leaves falling and its been raining too, life is good...Anyways, here are some new pics of the fam... I took the kids to the Treehouse Musuem today and they got to vote (like they had any idea what they were doing). The had pictures of Obama and McCain to choose from. Under that they had a place to pick your favorite story book character. Ethan chose Peter Pan and Rylie just crumpled up her paper (politics really frustrate her). Anyway, they had fun at the musuem as usual...

I got to rake leaves yesterday, good times. Honestly I have never raked leaves before. I have lead a sheltered life, what can I say? Anyway, it sucked and took forever. Then I looked outside this morning and it looks like I hadn't done anything (now it's Coulter's turn). Well the kids helped me for awhile, it was cute. Then their friend came over and everyone ditched me to play inside...woe is me.

Halloween Night...

The family with not so much sugar before we started trick or treating.

Rylie understood what was going on this year. It was really fun...

One of houses gave us donuts! Don't fret, we know the people. No druggie donuts for us...

Sweet Rylie...

Background info:

We are still working on having Rylie stay dry during naps and at night, so sometimes she wets the bed and I get to take her sheets and blankets off to wash them. Lately I seem to be doing this more than I would like to...Well Rylie went into my room today and all of our sheets were off the bed because I was washing them...

Rylie: Ahhh mommy (in a disappointed voice) you wet your bed?

Mommy: No Rylie

Rylie: Daddy wet the bed?

Rylie truly was concerned, hugged my legs and told me that it would be ok. I then got the opportunity to try to convince my disappointed daughter that I had in fact not wet the bed but was just washing the sheets. Sheesh!
