Things you may not know about me...(probably things you don't care to know). Tagged by Mindi

1. I was born in San Diego and lived there until I was 13. Then I moved to Prairieville, Louisiana and was there until I was 16. I moved to Layton in April 1999 and love Utah.
2. The first person I meet at my new High School was my friend Denise. She just introduced herself and invited me to sit by her in math. I was so relieved, I don't like to be the new girl...We have been friends ever since.
3. When I was 5 years old I got bit on the butt by a dog and it broke skin a little. I have not been a fan of dogs since.
4. My kids love animals so much that it makes me want to get them a dog...
5. I have had 2 sets of braces and 2 jaw surgeries, 1 nose surgery and 1 C-section...don't be jealous.
6. I have a tendency to cry...a lot...over just about anything...I promise that it has improved slightly.
7. I love Ethan and Rylie more than I knew I could love someone...its freaky sometimes...I love Coulter more than words too but a parents love for their children is something not easily described...
8. My little sister Kaitlin drives the same pimping sea foam green Ford Escort that I drove in high school and she looks just as hot as I did:)
9. I love Mexican food...enchiladas, tacos, tostados, nachos, guacamole...I could go on for awhile...
10. I am married to my best friend...I didn't think that was possible.
11. I love to laugh...and I love people that make me laugh...
12. I have been fired from one job...lets just say that it wasn't really my fault and that girls are evil. (Also if you don't know the meaning of the word insubordinate you should look it up...it is one of those words that apparently you need to know...)
13. My grandma lives next door to my parents and that's only 15 minutes from my house...sweet huh?

19. I always go to bed with socks on and they are never on when I wake up...strange

Guys Night Out at the Car Show...

Coulter here filling in on what Ethan and I did the other night.

We were invited to join the Lloyd men at the Car Show. Once Ethan learned that he could sit in some of the cars, he was ecstatic and would ask to sit in every single car that we went up to.

Robby and Brandon in one of the first vehicles we saw when we got there.

Ethan with Grandpa in the '09 Ford Explorer.

Ethan with Uncle Matthew posing in a trunk.

Ethan in the Smart car convertible. He looked like he was big enough to drive away in it, those cars are small!

Kirsten's dream car, the Honda Pilot.

Ethan in front of a $220,000 Bentley. For some reason, they wouldn't let him sit in a car which cost way more than our house...

Not only did Grandpa treat us to the car show, he took us to Fudruckers after. I ordered a shake with my meal and told Ethan that he could have the extra shake from mine that comes in the metal cup. When he saw mine, he was pretty sad that he didn't have a cherry and "some of that white stuff." So I gave in and switched with him. As you can see, he was quite happy.

Just playing...

So apparently my dad wants me to update my blog...If he is missing the monkeys, he is welcome to come pick them up anytime:)...Well here is our "home girl" Rylie. We were all playing in Ethan's room on Sunday night and she put on Ethan's hat and went and got her dinosaurs (that's right, her dinosaurs, the girl is obsessed lately).

Ethan is flying...he wants to rough-house all day lately...control yourself boy!

Ice skating...

So we took the kids ice skating on Monday. I haven't been since I was like 12 so I was as graceful as ever. Ice skating is a lot easier when you have a kid skating between your legs...It didn't even seem to phase Coulter but I was worried the whole time that I was going to trip over Ethan or Rylie. The kids have never been so both were a little scared. Ethan was excited to try but wouldn't let go of Coulter or myself.
Ethan says that next time he wants to run on the ice...maybe we'll bring a helmet then...Well Ethan had fun and can't wait to go again. Rylie on the other hand...
Here is our little ice princess (ha ha). Notice the not so happy face. She wanted help, then didn't want help. She wanted to sit on the ice but didn't want to get wet. She wanted me to stay by her but go away...let's just say that Rylie didn't have so much fun after the first 42 seconds...

She got more bitter as the minutes passed. Can anyone say naptime?

Ethan and I passed by the team box and this is what I see. Then I look over and Coulter is taking pictures of it! I wish there was audio to go with this, it was pretty ridiculous...

It's so hard to be 2 and moody sometimes...

Am I the only parent that does this?

A little background info: I am not a fan of character clothes, shoes, backpacks etc. Also, the bear in the picture looks exactly like the Care Bear that I had when I was little.

So here is Rylie with her Care Bear and matching shirt she got for Christmas...I couldn't help my self! I had to buy this for Rylie because I loved Care Bears when I was little. And the shirt...I found it at the Gap and had to get it. It went against everything I believe in and I paid way too much for it but as you see I couldn't help myself...I'm sure I'm not the only parent that has done something like this...(FYI-Coulter is so guilty of this!)

Sledding...

I promised Ethan last Friday that we would go sledding on Monday. I really need to start watching the news because it was snowing pretty hard when we went. Coulter found us a location and we got started because we didn't know when the cops would show up asking us to leave...Ethan had so much fun, he was freaking out. Rylie had fun for awhile as long as she wasn't going too fast (that's my girl! A weenie like her mom...)

Coulter was pulling them up the hill and Rylie was still holding on with a death grip...

Ethan was so funny! He wasn't scared of anything and even went down backwards a couple of times. Once he took out Rylie when he couldn't stop...poor girl...

It's pretty sad...I am such a wimp. It freaks me out if I start going too fast. I love Rylie's face in this pic! What a trooper...
-For anyone who has been waverunning with me-I make the same noise when I sled...my poor family...

Christmas pictures...

Christmas...

What a busy week...we have had so much fun. On Christmas Eve morning Coulter's mom (Tara), Steve and Tara's parents (Jim and Genile) came to our house for breakfast and to exchange gifts. It was good to see them since we don't get to very often. Ethan and Rylie were excited to have visitors and even more excited to open presents. Ethan and Rylie got bean bag chairs from Genile and Jim and they love them. Thanks for everything guys! That afternoon we went to the Treehouse museum with Shaylee and Janelle for their Christmas Eve party. Santa came so the kids were excited...they also got to do some crafts and play. It was fun...That night we went out to dinner and then came home to make cookies for Santa. We watched a Christmas movie before bed and then tried to put the kids to bed. Rylie went down pretty easy, she was tired from a long day. Ethan had a hard time falling asleep because he was too excited. He was convinced that he was going to see Santa and maybe Rudolph if he was lucky...I think he finally went to bed around midnight...
Christmas morning we woke the kids up around eight and took them downstairs to see what Santa brought them. Ethan looked relieved to see the gifts. He was so good on Christmas Eve because he was afraid that Santa wouldn't bring him anything. Rylie on the other hand was not as well behaved...Ethan asked us a couple dozens times if Santa would bring Rylie toys. Ethan kept telling Rylie to be good because he wanted her to have presents to open like him. (What a cute brother!) The kids loved all their gifts. Ethan's favorite toy is his Nerf gun from Santa and Rylie loves her princess dress and wand from Santa.
We headed over to Coulter's family later in the morning and exchanged gifts. Ethan and Rylie love to be at the "gray house" and see everyone. It was fun playing with everyone and watching the kids play with their new toys. Coulter and I got a bread maker from Joelle...Coulter was so excited! Okay...well I was at least...
Next we headed over to my parent's house. My parents gave the kids scooters so they were riding them around the house. We visited for awhile and helped make dinner. After dinner we opened presents with everyone...it was fun. By late afternoon everyone was pretty tired. We were all hanging out in the family room just talking.
On Friday we had family pictures with my family since my brother, Jeremy, was in town. That was a good time...it was fine really, Ethan and Rylie just won't cooperate when it comes to getting pictures taken...hopefully they turned out.
Saturday night we had the Creager Family party at our house. It was really fun. I'm not going to lie, I was a little worried about having it at my house. I'm not good at the hosting stuff but Coulter's family is great and we had a good time. It was nice to see everyone and catch up. Thanks for coming guys...
And then it was Sunday...we went to church, it was nice and peaceful...I think things are getting back to normal...
Thank you to everyone for making our Christmas great!

Christmas Program

Last week Ethan had his preschool Christmas program. He was excited to sing all of the songs that he had been learning. Mrs Connie, his teacher, had both of her 4 year old classes so there were quite a few kids. It was pretty funny watching all of them...

Ethan loves the Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer song. He sings it all the time...

Santa came in when the kids were done singing their songs. Ethan was excited to let him know that he wanted a shooting gun, a rhino game and 2 fighting dinosaurs...crazy boy

Ethan gave Mrs Connie a present for Christmas. Before we left he told us that he was going to show Mrs Connie what he got her and say Happy Birthday. I told him that he needed to say Merry Christmas because it was a Christmas present. He said that he wanted her to open it today and if he told her it was a Christmas present then she would have to wait until Christmas day to open it...Funny boy. Ethan and Rylie have been trying to talk Coulter and I into letting them open presents now but they were told they have to wait until Christmas. It's good to hear him understanding the following the rules for once...
Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Kaitlin with Ethan

Grandma Joelle and Ethan

I was trying to get Rylie to say hello to Santa but she was still pretty upset about not being able to sing songs with Ethan and his class. Rylie told Santa she wouldn't sit on his lap but that she wanted his candy cane. Dang that girl has attitude!
